About

Chinelo Onuigbo, msw

Chinelo Onuigbo is a teaching artist, community-based creative, and founder of Grounded Cultural Collective. Her work lives at the intersection of art, cultural connection, and personal exploration- designing experiences that invite people to express freely while staying grounded in themselves.

With a background in social work, formal training in communication and social justice, and extensive experience in community engagement, Chinelo creates thoughtfully designed workshops that center reflection, storytelling, and imagination across a range of artistic mediums. Her approach is rooted in care, connection, and the belief that creativity can be a powerful tool for returning to oneself.

Her work is also deeply shaped by her experience as a mother. Through pregnancy, postpartum, and now raising twins, Chinelo has developed an even deeper understanding of the need for spaces that allow for release, reflection, and reconnection. This perspective informs her commitment to creating accessible, meaningful experiences for people across all ages and seasons of life.

Through Grounded Cultural Collective, she continues to build spaces where creativity, culture, and personal connection come together- inviting participants to explore, express, and come home to themselves.
